Infrared Escape

EarthGames is excited to present Infrared Escape, a title that blends frantic arcade action with... education on the greenhouse effect!? You must play it to see for yourself! You control an infrared light beam, aiming to break free into space. As you travel, you need to avoid annoying greenhouse gases by tapping left or right. Every hit from a greenhouse gas drains some of your beam's energy. If you continue clipping the gases, the game ends. Your ascent through the air is split into levels — each representing a real layer of the atmosphere. Successfully passing through Earth's atmosphere and reaching space is a major achievement! It signifies that your ray has helped cool the planet and counteract global warming. The simplest mode is set in 1850, when far fewer greenhouse gases were present in the air to evade. The toughest challenge takes place in a heavily polluted future. Quick reflexes are essential to master this mode, as greenhouse gases are densely packed in the air. Once you reach space, you stop energy from heating the planet. You can use that energy in the shop to reveal scientific facts about the greenhouse effect and ways to combat climate change.
