Mickey Mouse Card Match

Mickey Mouse Card Match features Mickey Mouse, a humorous animated figure and the official emblem of The Walt Disney Company. He was developed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney Studios in 1928. This anthropomorphic mouse, usually dressed in red shorts, big yellow shoes, and white gloves, has grown into one of the most recognizable figures globally. Mickey made his initial appearance in a test screening short (Plane Crazy). His official debut came in the short film Steamboat Willie (1928), which was among the earliest sound cartoons. He subsequently featured in more than 130 movies, such as The Band Concert (1935), Brave Little Tailor (1938), and Fantasia (1940). While Mickey primarily starred in short films, he also appeared in feature-length pictures on occasion. Ten of his cartoons received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, with Lend a Paw taking home the prize in 1942. In 1978, Mickey became the first cartoon character to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
