Ninja Turtles

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (commonly known as TMNT or Ninja Turtles) are four fictional adolescent anthropomorphic turtles named after Renaissance Italian artists. They were trained by their anthropomorphic rat master in the techniques of ninjutsu. Operating from their lair in the New York City sewers, they fight petty criminals, evil tyrants, mutated beasts, and alien invaders while trying to stay hidden from society. The characters were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. They first appeared in comic books published by Mirage Studios before expanding into animated series, movies, video games, toys, and other general merchandise. At the height of the franchise's popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s, it achieved global success and fame.
